Visual Music Event

I am heading to New york to attend the Visual Music Marathon to be held in the Chelsea Visual Arts Theatre, on April 11, 2009. This is a 12 hour non stop presentation of historical and contemporary visual music works. This is an art area that exists between music/art/film/video/digital technology where works are created that focus on presenting moving images with music as one integrated art work. The sheer beauty and incredibleness of the works that were presented at the first visual music marathon event held in Boston in April, 2007 was amazing.
I was commissioned by the Artistic Director of the Visual Music Marathon that was held in Boston in 2007 to write an essay on Visual Music for the program catalog that accompanied the event. The Visual Music Marathon is to be repeated again in New York on April 11th, 2009 and so my essay is also being published in the program catalog to accompany the event.
