I painted /sketched this painting a few years ago, after an amazing trip to Newcastle Co. Down, Northern Ireland. We spent a lot of time on the strand as the tide was out in Murlough Bay, this is my impression of the beautiful bay as tide was out.
Green Painting

I painted this green painting last year - started off using some green emulsion that I was painting my front room with, then started to blend in some acyrilic paints - shades of white, greens, blues. I felt like I had the greens after painting this, but felt uplifted. I was trying to explore musical ideas again - mainly tone and timbre and thoughts I had about that at the time.

Pink Paintings

These pink paintings are painted on canvas with Acrylic paint. The colours of Acyrilic paint are incredibly vibrant. These paintings were painted after taking a rest from the minute concentration and detail needed to design websites!!! - letting the colours loose was what it was all about.
I have my reasons for calling these painting chants…but thats a story for another day, maybe.

After a break from drawing - ( a couple of years!). I was overcome with the desire to sketch a person. My daughter was just the subject and was happy to pose while I tried to remember how to shade again.
