Christmas Greetings 2008

Christmas Tree LightHere is my christmas tree, with a little photo manipulation added to bring out the light edges on the surrounding objects……still kind of looks like this when you look at the tree in a darkened room.

Happy Christmas

This is the way to skate!

Last March, I was lucky enough to go to New York for a few days with my daughter, sister, her husband and daughter - it was a wonderful break and a beautiful city. It was cold and we headed down to the ice rink at the Rockefeller center a couple of times, I didn’t dare venture on the ice, but if I did this is what I would have been like:

The header image at the top of each page, was created by digitally manipulating a photograph of incredible flowers taken at Altamount Gardens, Tullow, Carlow. The positioning of the flowers in the header area, creates some variety as different pages are loaded into the browser.

Leaf

This photo was taken at my parents home in Co. Leitrim. It was quite a small leaf, it was the winter light that caught my eye as it blasted through the colours of the leaf.

Hawthorn Berries

This Photograph was taken in my backgarden, our small garden has two sides of hawthorn tress, and the trees reveal their own natural beauty through the seasons - this photo captures a winter cycle.
This photograph is blogged from my flickr photo stream.

Watching the Grass Grow

Posted on | July 21, 2008 | No Comments

We have just recently replanted the field (I mean lawn) in our back garden…no easy feat what so ever. Of course, I only did some of the work, part of my labour was contributing to the design. Slabs were put down….slopes reshaped and loads of seed was sown.

Such was the great weather - sun and heat, that the grass started to show earlier than we had thought. We did actually lie down and watch the grass grow - it was great, highly recommended!!

Hawthorn Rain

Hawthorn RainI took this photo in my front garden - I took several shots, trying to capture at least one very clear rain drop, dripping from the hawthorn bush that goes right down the side of our house. The place was just one of this dripping with rain days in Carlow.
