Music CD – Leaves of Change

Paschal McDonnell has just released his latest CD of Celtic and Traditional Irish Music called – Leaves of Change. The CD is a recording by Paschal, family and friends. I designed Paschal’s website for him a few years ago, and have recently updated some content with audio excerpts from his latest CD Along the Shore.
Paschal is based in the Friary in Rossonowlagh, Co. Donegal. He composes, plays and records his own music. Every so often he puts on a concert – called the Celtic Drift in the Friary Beside Rossonowlagh. It was as a result of one of these concerts that paschal recorded this album.
Leaves of Change – Programme Note
“Like Planxty which returned on a number of occasions. Celtic Drift as a group has expanded over time. This, our second album, grew out of an enjoyable weekend when I invited family members and friends to join me for a few relaxed days in L.A Verna (the name given by visiting nieces).
The beginnings of this CD emerged during that weekend and I recorded extra tracks, among some original pieces, to complete a more substantial album.”

A Family of Musicians
Myself and Cyril – (Paschal’s brother (and my husband)) play with Paschal for his Celtic Drift concerts in Rossonowlagh, we both also helped with this album, Cyril plays guitar, bazouki, tin whistle and I add vocal harmony and in his concerts play keyboards and guitar. Our daughter Bébhinn plays concertina on several tracks of this CD, she was 13 years old at the time. The three of us have joined Paschal as his family, as well as Paschal and Cyril’s brother the unstoppable Raphael (incredible musican) on stage in his Celtic Drift concerts, Paschal is always joined by other musician friends from both Ireland and the US – always a pleasure and the beach at Rossonowlagh is divine.
I designed and built Paschals website and have recently updated some content for Paschal – adding in an audio player, where you can preview some of the tracks by listening to some excerpts from the CD and find out how to purchase the CD. I created the mp3 excerpts for Paschal and built a flash audio player.
