The Wandesforde school website that I designed in very close consultation with the ideas and vision for the website from the very talented blogging and website business owner, Lorna Sixsmith, is in the finals of the Irish Web Awards 2011. It is in the ‘Best Education and Third Level website’ category alongside some very large institutional websites such as tcd.ie and itcarlow.ie and ucd and science gallery. The teachers in the school keep the content of the website updated with really interesting posts and content in relation to the school and its events. Helping the website to become an expression of the schools interests and activities and a place of information for the pupils and their families and communities. The website is really well updated with fantastic content from the teachers of the school.
and you can click here if you would like to see who we are competing against.
Many thanks to Maura McDonnell who designed our website and to Susan Dennehy, Davina Wilson and Susan Power who update the website with so many blog posts featuring the learning activities of the children.
