Description
‘After Effects’ was used to both manipulate video footage and create synthetic imagery for ‘Silk Chroma’. Inspired by the novella Silk by Allesandro Baricoo, texts from Silk were used as a basis for the creation of an abstract visual drama and electroacoustic composition to conceptually mimic the ideas in the text. Director and concept: Dermot Furlong. Key passages and approaches to the design of the piece were discussed as a team. Linda Buckley and I then worked on together on integrating the visuals and the music. Finally, the work was supported by Gavin Kearney in the surround sound presentation of the piece in the printing house, for Innovation Dublin Festival, 2011
